I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and am employed with Easter Seals of Michigan as a supervisor facilitating outpatient and home based services to severely emotionally impaired children and families. I also work for Common Ground Sanctuary as a psychiatric screener, assessing adults and children for the need for hospitalization.

I have been a resident of Clawson for 27 years. I have five children. My youngest child, Jim, is in second grade at Schalm School. My adult children are graduates of Clawson High School. My daughter Melissa is a nurse living in White Lake. My son Bill is a MI State Trooper in Marquette. My son Matt is a prison guard in Adrian, MI. My son Dan is a firefighter in Rochester Hills.

I was elected to the Clawson City Council in November, 2003, with prior city involvement on the Zoning Board of Appeals. I am presently Chairman of Clawson Youth Assistance; Family Recreation Director of Clawson Youth Assistance; Friends of the Library member co-facilitating the Children's Library Festival, member of the 4th of July committee responsible in the past for the Bingo tent on the 4th, and co-sponsor of Operation SLAM (students leading and mentoring).

I have been involved in cub scouts as a den leader for 7 years. I have been a church youth group leader for 10 years. I have been involved in school PTA's for eons with recent involvement at Kenwood School organizing a Family Fun Night and assisting with the Ready, Move, Learn program. It is with pleasure that I help out with the Jimmy Marvin Scholarship Fund and Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic program.
